Default State to State

Is it possible to foster a child from a different State than the one you live in. The two states are Oregon and Texas.

I am not 100% on any other state but I do know it is possible to foster if you are a relative and live in a different state (in Ohio at least). This almost occurred when I was fostering a sibling set. I believe the Aunt lived in Texas. Not sure if that is any help but I figured I would put my two cents in in case it does.

Yes you can foster children from different States. However, you may have to go there to meet with the child's team and the child first before they are transferred. Check with your agency or DSS because every State has different laws.
