I foster kids 0-5, and I have had several kids in my home and I have collected several things over the last few years and now I have a Collection of kids clothes. Boy and Girl most sizes. 0-8 I also have some shoes.. The purpose of this collection is to help fill in the gaps and for the OMG I got a kid and they have nothing that fits....which is usually the case. I only keep the best of the best and usually no more than 2 or 3 outfits and a few pair of pajamas. I have several people that donate clothes to us.. We are a close nit community and people are happy to have a place to give the clothing that they just cant throw away. I usually pick through it and take the best of the best and if there is anything better than what I have then I replace it, I donte the used stuff to our church (who takes it to mexico to the Orphanages.) Sometimes I get a kid and they have clothing but it no longer fits....so I put that into my collection and get them something that fits...I live 30 miles from the nearest town and the only thing that we have in town is a dollar general and it closes early. I usually send as much as I can with the child but some times I Just Can't send it all. For Example I had a little girl that came with nothing and left with 2 large plastic tubs...on with clothing and one with her personal things that she wanted to take. It has nothing to do with money or not wanthing to buy them anything becasue I love to shop :) Its more of a can I keep them clean untill I can get into town. Does anyone else have somthing like this? If so what do you do with the extra stuff? Any advise or Ideas for storage?
