Hi everyone, we are about to experience a TPR hearing next week. I was wondering if anyone who has gone through this can shed some light as to what the process is after this? For instance how long does the adoption process take to complete once the TPR is final? Thanks for the help! :)

We have gone thru this before. If the parents appeal the tpr then all bets are off as to how long it takes. If they don't appeal, then in our area it takes 4 to 6 weeks for a foster home conversion to be done. Then the process of getting the lawyer, having them file, time to sit in court and get on the docket. So probably anywhere from 4 to 6 months. That is just my best guesstimate. Your area may be a little faster.:)
