My husband and I are on the verge of being certified, but we have an adult single mother and child who share a room. We want to foster a teenage mother and baby who would be in a seperate room. The agency we are dealing with says that an adult can't be in the same room with the child unless they are under 2 years of age. We want to try to get an exception so this woman can still stay with us if we foster. We feel with the ecomomy the way it is, most single mothers will have to stay in the same room with their child to even keep a roof over their heads. Has anyone had any luck being granted an exception? If so, what did you do to get it?
