Intimidation and Harrassment from BM

We currently have three siblings in our care that have been with us for 6 mths . Bm is facing a extended prison sentence for dealing drugs and other charges and she was recently given a pass to attend a dr appoinment from jail and walked away. She calls our home and threatens me and uses foul language and spews racials slurs at me. I have contacted the police but there seems there is not much they can do. How in the world do I handle this?

You might try changing your phone number or getting caller ID or explore filing a notice of harrassment.

Why cant DSS and the police work together and trace the calls in an effort to find the BM and put her back in jail. Is it possible that the foster parents could be in danger?

Why should the foster parents have to change their phone number? How did BM get the phone number? Shouldn't there be some confidentiality related to the placement of the children so that foster parents do not have to worry about their own safety?

You have a right to safety as a member of our society. Demand to know why your information has been passed onto the bm. Call the person in charge of your children's case manager and report this confidentiality issue to them. Call the police back and complain or go to the police station and file a report. Do not be a door mat. These kids need you!
