and she had the 2 children she was fostering removed because of 2 things. They were filthy "all the time, wore the same clothes every day" and she transported them to daycare without securing them in their car seats.
What can happen to her as well as do the bio parents have any course of action as far as legal goes against either her or the county or both? I was going to be starting the foster parent process myself but this has scared me.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It's hard to give a blanket answer to your question because every state is slightly different and has somewhat different expectations. I'm in CA, and not having kids in carseats or seatbelts is against the law. I don't know if that is a law in every state. If her kids were really filthy and weren't properly restrained in the car, she probably shouldn't be a fosterparent. We owe these children the best we can give them. At the very least, they should stop using her home. She could be fined for not using proper restraints in the car.

It really sounds like that your neighbor shouldn't have been a foster parent to start with. I have two kids of my own and two foster kids and I will grant you that the foster kids are taken care of just as my own. I feel this is the way it should be. I also would like to encourage you to become a foster parent if you really feel that is your calling. Foster parent are really needed!

This woman should have never been a foster parent in the first place. Sounds like she is just in it for the money and the children are living in a similar if not the same exact environment they were in before placement. Not bathing and caring for a child's personal hygiene is a form of neglect. And not providing proper car restraints is pure child endangerment! This woman should be reported immediately. Those children deserve better.

That really upsets me to hear foster parents treating kids like that.
We have been waiting now for 3 months and haven't even got a call and their are kids in homes like that?
