Hi, Any advice. I am the foster parent of 3 and have been waiting for 2 of them to have some testing done and I cannot get any cooperation from the county. For 7 months we have been waiting for "papers to be signed". I am so tired of it. It's as if they are putting it off on purpose. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks:D

If the testing is for educational purposes, the case manager can sign a letter of request which goes to the school. Have you not seen a case manager in 7 months?

Hi, Actually it is for some phsyc evaluations. I have a county case manager and a private foster agency and I see the county one once a month and the other every other week. The rights have not been terminated so the county has to have parents sign for everything and it never gets done. It seems like they keep putting it off so they won't have to bother. I just want to get some help for them and I feel like giving up. I'm sure with lots of prayers it will all work out, it is just frustrating. Thanks for asking ;)

Try contacting the GAL or the CASA worker.

You might also try documenting the behaviors that are causing the concerns ( like: Tuesday Feb 6th, 9:00 AM, Bethany is hitting her head against the wall. I asked her to stop and she went into a rage, slapping my bio daughter and kicking the cat.) and then, when you have several, FAX or email them to the case manager with copies to the supervisor.

And maybe, if the children are in day care or school, others have seen some behaviors and might be able to send a note of concern to the case manager.

Good luck with this...I've waited weeks to get permission to get a kid a haircut!
