Hello everyone - newbie here. Spent several months going through foster care application process only to be told they would not place with us because I am disabled... which they knew from day 1! Frustrated, heartsick, wondering where to go from here to help the kids in my area. We really wanted to help children gain some stability and offer some nurturing. thanks, catmama for now

How disabled are you? Do they have good reason to feel you would not be able to properly take care of the children? It's a bummer. they should have told you that upfront. Is there another agency you can go with?
